Sunfield Childrens Home
Our theatre is located at the back of Sunfield Childrens Home. If approaching from Hagley just turn Left at the French Hen then Left again before the junction with Adams Hill. If you go past The Fountain, you've gone too far.
Look for the illuminated barrier! You can't miss it.
Follow the drive along to the public car park at the back of the site. The theatre is a 2 minute walk to the right, at the top of the hill.
There is a limited number of disabled spaces available by the theatre itself. Alternatively, it is possible to drop people at the theatre entrance if the hill presents a challenge.
Please keep in mind that Sunfield is a working residential care home for children with special needs. Loud noises and bright lights can cause great discomfort to some of the residents. We ask that all visitors are mindful of residents and keep noise to a minimum when outside of the theatre.
Ok, so we are also the only Amateur Theatre Society in Clent, but if we weren't, we would still be Number 1!
Established in 2001 after the Millennium Jesus Christ Superstar project, we have been performing high quality Amateur Musical and Comedy Drama productions ever since.
We aim to perform two shows each year starting with our 'big' musical during February half term staged at our very own theatre at Sunfield Childrens Home, Clent. Typically in the Autumn, we perform a more traditional play, usually a comedy, in the more intimate setting of Clent Parish Hall.
We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic actors, dancers, singers and back-stage help to get involved with our productions.
COMIC members are all ages and come from all across the Midlands. Our nearest member lives right next door to the rehearsal hall. Our furthest lives in Oxford!
We have many talented members who work professionally in the Performing Arts industry and we have many who are treading the boards for the very first time. Your experience is not important, but we do require enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
Rehearsals are normally followed by a visit to one of Clent's excellent drinking establishments and we host a range of social events throughout the year.
